me

Where to start? Maybe more original with this map of the countries I visited or lived in

worldmap3.gif

Mmm… a huge white spot on south America that need to be filled soon… anybody join me?!

I made it with a cool tool on World66 and then personalized it with the text of the places where i lived (except Italy): you can also make your own!

The picture in the header was taken in Mexico, near Tulum (with my glorious Canon underwater case); the black figures are quite obviously me and my lovely pets. The doggy is called Hilary (Clinton - for president) and the cat is black and is called Salem, like in “Sabrina the teenage witch” - you are advised ;-)

Beside travelling and animals, my favourite hobbies are to keep in touch with my friends worldwide, skating, scubadiving, windsurfing, reading and play around with the computer.
I often volunteer and since few years I’m the sponsor of a boy in Andhra Pradesh, India, through the association Lankama and another disabled boy in Varanasi, at Premjyoti school. If you feel a good person today and want to be a sponsor too, please let me know, I’ll put you in contact with people that do not waist your money. I checked it out myself.

When I have some free time (not very often) I’m also a museum guide at the Fondazione Ugo da Como, in Lonato del Garda (Italy).
By the way I live in Lugano, Switzerland, where I am a PhD candidate at the University of Lugano. I have been recently in Cambridge as a visiting researcher in the Computer Laboratory of Cambridge University. Before that I studied Corporate Communication (Master) in Lugano, and I also studied at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, at the Politecnico di Milano (Bachelor in Communication Design) and at the Franklin County High Scool, in Virginia.
I finally decided to start my blog since I’ve been changing country quite often lately, so I hope we can keep in touch here with all the people I met in all the corners of the world! Just write your comments, or send me an email, or-better- start your own blog!

Why travel virus?
I got this virus some long years ago in an high-school exchange with Munich, Germany, and it was so cool… and yea, let’s do it again and again… since then… I just can’t stop travelling! There are no medicine to cure this virus, so the only solution is just keep travelling, meeting people from everywhere, and moving from one country to another ( I moved 7 times in 5 foreign countries in 6 years… quite crazy)!!

One of my goals is to visit all the 193 countries in the world ;-) (so far only 12%)
If you are ready to travel with me… let’s start!

N.B: Per i miei amici italiani che non hanno voglia di leggere in inglese: potete usare il traduttore automatico di google, traduce male però fa ridere, cmq conviene imparare l’inglese ;-)
