Mini cappuccino d’orzo

You know, Italians are crazy about coffe, and in Italy you can find 100 different ways of putting coffe and milk together (espresso, macchiato caldo, macchiato freddo, cappuccino, minicappuccino, marocchino, decaffeinato, decaffeinato macchiato, d’orzo in tazza grande, in tazza piccola, cappuccino d’orzo, corretto… and so on). But here in Lugano I found the top of the top! The “mini cappuccino d’orzo”! That’s fantastic, since I don’t drink coffe, but the caffè d’orzo is also not too tasty, this is a very nice combination.
I discoverd this specialities in a famous pasticceria (backery) of Lugano, together with Christina and Eliane, that I met this weekend for the Alumini Corporate Communication and Marketing master meeting. All together the meeting was not so good, didn’t see many people from the old time as I hoped, and the crap weather didn’t help for sure. I hope by next weekend I can post some pictures with the sun!

I am italian (100%) and live most of the year in Naples Florida, going back “home” for the Summer. I just was there, and now here in the USA for a couple of weeks….and I the same have been drinking those incredible “cappuccino d’orzo”, me and my husband Ruven, every single day. There in Italy there are some wonderful espresso machines doing orzo cappuccino, and I do nit think they are available in the US (Nescafe’ makes one very good) which I think would be a success if available. Also….I found a very very good instant orzo cappuccino ( made by “Ristora”) totally natural with no additives or preservatives etc…..but again it is not available here. I hope so much we will start to have similar produts in theStates too, and that like in Italy EVERY coffee shop will offer orzo cappuccino choice.

  sono arrivata su questo sito perche’ anche io sto cercado dove compare caffe or (meglio) cappuccino d’orzo qui negli States. Anche io sono Italiana, ma vivo a Miami e ogni volta che vado in italia ne faccio scorta…che ovviamente finisce troppo presto. Ho provato il Teeccino, consigliato da molti, ma non c’entra niente!
