Hawaiiiii I’m coming…
December 27, 2007 at 5:50 pm | In Uncategorized | No CommentsI’m ready for my longest trip ever, more than half way around the world, as you can see from the map. I’m very excited about having a little taste of Polinesia flavour finally!
I have to go to HICSS conference to present a paper I wrote and I’ll take the chance for some holidays, with my friends Irma and Giovanna. I’m following the path of my granfather who stayed in Hawaii about 60 years ago, for two year (as war prisoner, unfortunally).
We’ll visit the Big Island and after new year we’ll fly to Honolulu to see the famous sufers and waikiki beach! Wow honolulu I never thought I would really go there, in the middle of nowehere, 3.700km from US mainland. Let’s go and happy new year to everybody!
Winter in Lugano
December 16, 2007 at 12:10 pm | In Uncategorized | No CommentsToday i woke up with the view of a little bit of snow on the houses of Lugano and a strong clear sun… great weather for Decemeber so I decided to enjoy the beauty of Lugano weather with a long walk on the lungolago, where I spotted again a meeting of birds, but this time I had my camera ![]()
No wonder why Ticino is called the Sunshine canton!
Eating again…
December 15, 2007 at 7:47 pm | In Uncategorized | No Comments Today we did nothing but eating (and cooking)… as usual! ![]()
First pumpkin soup and vegetable lasagne, then we had some italian Pandoro with icecream with the CUFE chinese students who are leaving next week, to give them a warm goodbye. Finally they cooked us a delicious chinese dinner (video will follow) with lamb and typical fried pork.
Migrating birds in Lugano
December 1, 2007 at 9:56 pm | In Uncategorized | No CommentsWhat’s happening in Lugano?? A birds reunion?
This morning there were so many birds flying around the lungolago, very impressive and spectacular! I’ve been told those are migrating birds and that they used to come every year in the past (but not recently). Too bad i dind’t have a camera with me, thousends of birds, clouds and few rays of sun… awsome! The mobile camera didn’t catch the athomsphere, though.
